Question Ponds Cold Cream, other Ponds cleansers

First of all, does anyone use the Ponds Cold Cream? Do you have any problems with it, does it cleanse good? And how long have you been using it? It has mineral oil in it and everyone says that's really bad, but no one ever seems to have any proof of it being bad, so I don't know what to believe about that. Does anyone else use any other Ponds cleansers? Do you recommend any? Thanks

Re: Ponds Cold Cream, other Ponds cleansers

I have the Ponds cold cream and LOVE it, but I don't usually wash my entire face with it unless I'm wearing a lot of makeup. I use it every night with a cotton pad to take my eye makeup off and it's by far the best product I've ever used for that - it doesn't sting my eyes at all, it's SO gentle and all of my makeup comes off better than any real makeup remover I've ever purchased! So for that purpose alone, I love it. When I'm wearing foundation I will use a little on the rest of my face too and then wipe it off with a cotton pad to take the makeup off, then I wash my face regularly with stuff that's better for my acne-prone skin.

So I'm not sure about using it as your only face wash, but I like it a lot around my eye area!

Re: Ponds Cold Cream, other Ponds cleansers

I love POND's Cold Cream and all their products. Price is excellant.
I have been using it for years. (I'm 42) I tend to switch products but always go back to POND's and keep it on hand at all times.

My neice 14 yrs old who is a cheerleading, travels alot for competitions and has to wear heavy makeup for their performance is now using Ponds and she loves it too. The wipes are great when you go camping. That's when I got her hooked.

FYI - 2yrs ago I went away to a spa and speaking with the lady who was giving me a facial I mentioned how I use and love Ponds...WELL, come to find out she knows the CHEMIST who not only works at PONDS but she mentioned he is the same chemist for Estee Lauder or Lancome. I nearly fell off the table because it proved my theory all along just because something is
expensive doesn't mean it's always the best..
It's just a matter of perference, skin types, skin tones, age, and of course MONEY.

I absolutley love PONDS products. I cleanse and moisturize my face both morning and night and thus far have had no problems. A 67 year old friend of mine has used this product of many, many years and she looks every bit of a 45 year old. Hard to believe, but she does and gives the credit all to PONDS. The wipes are great too.

Re: Ponds Cold Cream, other Ponds cleansers

Hey, thanks everyone. I was also wondering how exactly do you use the cold cream, do you just use a tissue or a soft wash cloth to take it off? Do you ever use water with it? I think I read somewhere that it requires no water. Also, after you've cleaned your face in the morning, and say you wanna put your makeup on, does it apply easily to your face after you've washed with it (for example, does it make the makeup slide off or anything like that)? Also, do you still use a separate moisturizer afterwards? Thanks again.
