I need suggestions for a good summer foundation - Beauty & Cosmetics Message Board

Hi,
I've been using Revlon Colorstay foundation for over 5 years now. I love the flawless coverage and it usually lasts all day, but it's not so great in warm weather. It starts to "melt" off if I'm outside for awhile. Can you guys please give me some suggestions for a good foundation that will actually stay put in warm weather...if there is such a thing.

I'm going to have to go with mineral make-up again. It's awesome in any weather. There are a lot of different companies & types - not all mineral make-up is made equal. I prefer the brands that use matte micas & no bismuth oxychloride - you get a matte finish with them. My favorites are Botany 101, Aromaleigh, & GeoGrafx - all of which must be purchased online.

I've been wanting to try mineral makeup for awhile now. I really don't know much about it. Is it hard to apply evenly? I'll look into them right now. Thanks!

Without a doubt, mineral makeup is the way to go. I use Bare Essentuals/Bare Minerals and it is AWESOME.

I used to have really oily oily skin - got so shiny it looked wet at the end of the day. In the summer, forget it, I could not get ANY makeup to even stay on my face for more than 5 minutes. Now I am older, and my skin is still oily/shiny, but with dry patches too.

Since I switched to mineral makeup these problems have disappeared. I can use mineral makeup in ANY weather and my skin looks flawless. It never looks shiny and never looks dry either. The makeup stays on all day, and even if you sweat a little in the summer, the makeup doesn't drip off your face - its almost as if you perspire right through it.

Its not hard to apply - in fact its easier (and cleaner) than anything else I have ever used... I will never switch to any other makeup.

I decided to order a sample from Aromaleigh. I'm having a hard time deciding on what color to order. I'm usually really pale, but use st's during the summer. I'm thinking maybe the neutral-light or neutral-medium. There's so many different shades to choose from! I noticed there was also a "primer" and a finishing powder. Do you guys use those, as well? I usually use clinique's pressed powder. Can I use that with the mineral makeup?
