There are a lot of different ways to apply mineral makeup.

You can apply it dry - using a foundation brush, a kabuki brush, or a floacked sponge. You tap a little foundation into a small dish, swirl the brush in it, tap off the excess, then swirl it onto the skin. For the sponge, you touch the corner of it into the powder, tap off the excess, then smooth it onto the skin. Some people then mist the face with water to *set* the makeup. It's not necessary, but some people like it. It doesn't make your face look dewy - since it's a mist, it dries almost immediately.

You can mix the powder with a moisturizer or facial oil & apply it like a liquid.

You can also swirl the brush in powder like I described, tap off the excess, then spritz water on the brush (just a little, don't soak the brush), then swirl it on the face. This is my preferred method. I get a flawless finish with this & it stays all day.

The trick with minerals is to start with a small amount. You can always add more. But let it *soak into* your skin for a few minutes - then look at it again before applying more. The minerals *meld* with your skin after a few minutes & the look changes.
