Okay to swim after dyeing hair? - Beauty & Cosmetics Message Board

Cause I just dyed my hair yesterday. I dyed red strokes in my brown hair. Will chlorine so soon bleach my hair? Or will it be ok for me to swim for an hour? Should I use a hair mask for coloured hair afterwards? Or the conditioner that came wtih the paint? Or should I go swimming with hair mask in my hair?

since you just did this yesterday- I would refrain from getting chlorine on it- it could ruin the color

Red is the worst with fading. Be careful with it.

Isn't a day long enough for it to get in the hair?

Agh my mom won't let me stay home!
And I might not be able to pass for my lifeswimming exam if I don't go.. bugger! But I would hate having my hair ruined even more..

Won't it help if I used the colour-protective mask on it? Or will it just wash out? Not entirely, right?
