Sunburn on Nose

I was out in the sun last Saturday and my nose got sunburned pretty bad. No other part of my face did.. just my nose. LOL go figure.. Well, the skin peeled yesterday now it is more red and painful than ever. The redness is kind of blotchy too. I was wondering what should I be applying to my nose to make this go away faster? It's painful and I'm tired of looking like Rudolph lol.

Re: Sunburn on Nose

You need to apply an aftersun lotion with Aloe in it to the burned area, apply it several times a day until the skin heals and stay out of the sun

Re: Sunburn on Nose

My son got a horrible sun burn a few weeks ago wearing sun block!
The worst part was his nose and it's still red! It pealed off and now is just red!
They tole me lots of Aloe Vera and keep a good eye on it.
Good Luck

Re: Sunburn on Nose

Apply cocoa butter. It's more emolient than aloe so it feels alot better. When it's healed you might want to exfoliate, but really wait until it's completely healed. That will help with the blotchyness.

Yea. Just don't use anything with alcohol in it, I remember talking to the pharmasist about this. I hope it feels better!

Re: Sunburn on Nose

I've been using this Native Tan Super Sunburn Relief and it's 100% pure aloe gel and it's helped. My nose is only faintly pink now. Can't wait for it to return to normal lol.

Re: Sunburn on Nose

Glad it's getting better! The Dr. told me Aloe only. My son's was so bad we had to put it on every hour! It's been three weeks and it's still a tiny bit pink.

Re: Sunburn on Nose

aloe, and i read the aplying green hue of powder (its sold in drug stores) gets rid of the red tint. I like my bronzer by origins and green powder...it makes any sunburn I get look more neutral
