Mascara Suggestions For Sensitive Eyes?? - Beauty & Cosmetics Message Board

I have really sensitive eyes, and I have had trouble finding mascara. My eyes water a lot, and the mascara either runs or just washes off. Even if it doesn't run, I'm left looking like I never put any on. Sometimes it even causes my eyes to itch.

Does anyone else have this problem? Have you found a mascara that doesn't irritate your eyes AND doesn't run?

I never used to care; I just went without mascara even though I like the way I look with it (before it runs!). I'm getting married in May, though, and I would like to find a good kind before then so that my eyes will stand out in pictures. Thanks!

I have found that Almay has very good mascara. They even have a kind that's specifed for sensitive eyes. I wear contacts and it never bothers them.

Some of those symptoms you describe also can happen if you're using an old mascara. I think you are supposed to throw it out if it's older than 2 months. I could be wrong, but I know that I always use mine up before that time.

Hmm... I will throw out my old mascaras! I think I'll have to wait for a coupon to come out for the Almay (I see them periodically) because that stuff's expensive! If it works, though, I will be one happy camper!!
