need advice on a foundation w/complete coverage - Beauty & Cosmetics Message Board

I have tried so many; and they seem to melt off or just fade away. I like to wear a little powder to set my makeup, but I want staying power!!!! Any suggestions? I have normal/oily skin. Thanks for your help

Maybe the problem is that you tend to have oily skin. You could try one of those face cleanser's that dissolves oil. I recommend Noxema Triple Clean. If you don't think the oil is the problem, then look for a foundation for oily skin that stays put all day. Even if your skin isn't that bad, foundation for oily skin will be drier than the others. Everfresh is a good brand and I've heard Face Finity works for some people. Then cover it with a powder. I use Covergirl, but I think any brand would do.

I had the same problem and I would end up putting on too much make up because of this. Noxema and Everfresh have been the only two things that work for me.

I like TRUCCO it is A proffessional make up and can be found in beauty supply stores it covers so good and you have to wash it off to remove it- it works wonders

I've always been partial to the Clinique line. Their "Clarifying" foundation is wonderful for oily skin. It's medium to heavy coverage, and can be layered accordingly. It dries fairly quickly to a nice matte finish, so it has to be blended right away.

I use Estee Lauder's Double Matte foundation and powder. It has been the best one that I have used, and I have used alot! I have really oily skin and most foundations just wear off, but not double matte. I've tried clinique's clarifying and found its much too cakey. Drugstore foundation just doesn't stay on my face either.

Double matte works really well if your skin is oily, but recently I've been going through a bout of dry scaleyness on my face, which makes double matte hard to use. when this happens, I use Clinique's superfit, which is pretty nice when skin isn't oily.
Double matte is expensive, but its been worth it for me.
