Ceramic Flat Irons/Hair Straighteners - Beauty & Cosmetics Message Board

I would like to purchase a good quality ceramic flat iron/hair straightener. I've been looking at the Unil, Hai convertible, Hai Stik, and the Chi. Has anyone used one or more of these products? I would love to hear any and all comments that would aid me in choosing which one would be the best. Thanks!

Well, mine's not ceramic, but it works great. They usually work pretty well, but you MUST use a good conditioner everyday. Otherwise you're going to end up with dry split-ends all over the place. Mine puts off steam as it straightens. It's a good idea to get one like this because it's not as drying as a regular iron.

I recommend a ceramic hair straightener..I have straight hair but it takes the frizz right out of my hair, plus it's not nearly as damaging as the regular metal straighteners. They're a bit more expensive, but definitely worth the money.

Kat...which brand and model of ceramic iron do you use? I'm a bit confused about the options...it is hard to get information on them. I think both the Hai and Unil have variable temperatures while the Chi just has one temperature.

The brand and model is Hai 2 Ceramic Flat Iron..they're $119 (but like I said, definitely worth the money). We're not allowed to post websites, but just try searching for hair straighteners...Good luck!
