Hi! First time posting here and saw that some of you mentioned mineral make up and you had some questions about them.
I'm in my mid-40's, have combo skin, and started breaking out on my chin and temple area (menopause related I believe). Liquid foundation (either from local drug store or expensive cosmetic counter in dept. stores) left my skin feeling heavy, dirty and started creating lines I didn't have

. Plus, it wouldn't last all day, if I was going out at night, I would wash my face and reapply. I tried some of the low cost power foundations and found that I liked them better, but still had the breakouts.
I finally gave in to one of the infomercials on tv for a mineral foundation (bare escentuals) and I have to say I love it. Yes, they are expensive, but you use such a tiny amount that it seems to last forever. The blush doubles as eye make up and lipstick (with gloss over it) and I can wear this make up all day without getting that urge to scrub my face.
My acne cleared up and I have received so many compliments on my complexion. My mother (and we all know moms never lie to us) liked the way I looked so much that she had me order her some also.
It also cut my make up applying time in half. You do just what the commerical tells you to do, buff it on and go.
The one extra step I take is to quickly wipe my face with sponge in the areas where my pores look a little too big to even out the coverage.
The other day I did use my old liquid foundation just to see if there was a difference and I couldn't stand the way it felt and I have to admit..... my complexion certainly didn't look like it had been looking.
Hope this helps some of you!
