just tried two new ones - garnier and no 7, and they both suck - totally useless at removing waterproof mascara, and not much better at non-waterproof. can anyone recommend a good eye makeup remover??

I always wear waterproof mascara, too. For years I used baby oil on a cotton ball, which worked but I felt gross and greasy. Now I use Signature Club A meltdown creams. They come in a jar, in lots of different scents and they look like lotions. You rub some all over your face, over all of your makeup. Count to 10. Wipe off with a dry tissue. Every bit of makeup...even waterproof mascara...comes right off. It's gentle, and doesn't burn your eyes a bit. Your skin feels clean, soft, and not dry and tight. You can buy these meltdowns on the home shopping channel, but lately I've been finding them a lot cheaper on ****! Good luck!

Working in the cosmetic industry I learned that too much use of waterproof mascara can cause lashes to break and be brittle. Estee Lauder has a real good mascara called More Than Mascara and Lancome has an excellent eye makeup remover. It works really well with waterproof formulas. If you need to use waterproof mascara try just applying it to your bottom lashes and using regular mascara for the top.-Roni
I forgot to add Lancome's remover is great for ppl with extremely sensitive eyes.

I love Lancome Bi-Facil - have used it for years and it works with waterproof mascara really well.
