Split-ender infomercial? - Beauty & Cosmetics Message Board

I saw an infomercial for the Split-ender(I think that's what it's called). Has anyone tried this? It looked like you run your hair through it/brush hair with it and it takes out those little pieces of hair that stick up on the top of the head.

I am also wondering about this product. I have seen on the boards that some of you have bought it. I want to know if it will work on layered, wavy (kinda curly) hair? I have long layers, want to grow it long, and I love to blow it straight but the breakage is horrible. I give in and get my hair cut. Even with a skilled hairdresser, it's hard for them to trim my layers and maintain some length. Any lady out there who owns a Split-ender and has my hair can vouch for this thing?? Please help!
