I really haven't dated for 6-7 years, and only one guy before that for ten years. I'm 41. Do men nowadays expect girls to be bald or close to it down there?
I get horrible itching when I cut that hair close, and I thought that that hair serves to protect you against friction during sex or from clothing, I can't imagine not having any, I think it would hurt. I wouldn't mind doing it I guess if I (emphasis there)or my guy really thought it was great of our OWN idea BUT, I think this trend comes from so much porn out there and that men want women to look like a porn star. Despite what it sounds like LOL I'm NOT a prude at all.. but I don't want be drastically uncomfortable because my guy is programmed to think all women should look like porn stars. any thoughts??

I only shave the sides and leave a strip. It's up to you. Unless you wax (which is incredibly painful and expensive), you won't get a close enough shave. If you shave, then you probably should do it everyday, because it can be painful to shave stubble down there. I think it really depends on the guy. Some like it there and htink its sexy and some really like it bald. It's up to you really because it will take lots of maintenance.

A lot of guys are quite happy with women keeping the hair trimmed short and the bikini line area clean of hair by either waxing, shaving, tweezering etc. This should satisfy your partner and it's lower maintenance than removing the entire lot all the time.

Mine is never the same so my husband never knows what to expect. I like to surprise him from time to time. I do all my own waxing and i include my husband when i need assitance to give the hair a super close trim with the hair clippers. He enjoys this for some reason!!

I also shave the sides and leave a strip, but keep the lower half completely bald for hygiene reasons. If you do shave on a daily basis and are prone to razor burn and bumps, I highly suggest using a mens shaving cream. I dont know why this hasnt hit me before, but the mens stuff really pays attention to the razor burn; i guess because men have to shave everyday and need to worry about bumps since its on their face!! LOL!

I take it all off and painlessly once I learned my lesson. Don't get a regular shaver anywhere near there. If you really want to go bare. Trim first with small scissors, then use the electric Lady Fair to trim even closer, then the Midas Touch 8000. It sounds like alot the first time, but after that I just use the Midas twice a day (before I get out of bed and after I go to bed). It takes about 5 minutes total. I'm actually very pleased with it although it was my guy's idea.
