HAs anyone tried this makeup..Clinque has made City base powder foudation and now has a oil free version..which i have..who's tried it

Hi,

I didn't realise there's an oil-free version...but I didn't like the original one because of the metallic odour on my skin. I'm sure it was effective, but couldn't get past the smell.

Quincy,Mine doenst smell..are we talking about the same product..powder compact foundation from clinique...city base spf oilfree?

oh, sorry I haven't gotten back to you on this.

I just checked it and it IS the oil-free, the same as what you're talking about.

The titanium dioxide leaves a "metallic smell" on my fact that I can smell. Maybe it's how it reacts with my skin.

My husband is bald, and he uses it in the spring/summer/fall and it works well with no reactions....if that's any help. Of course he uses a good sunscreen and a hat if he's in the sun for an extended period of time. He's had basel cell carcinoma removed in various places...it's a good option for his bald paté.

I am afraid of using those powder foundations, even if they say oil free. It still seems that they make my face oily. I'd like to know what others think of this product though. Is it pretty sheer? Something I could wear in the summer? I don't want to buy it to try it b/c I can't return it if I hate it. I tried a tinted moisturizer/spf foundation type thing and it wasn't very good. I do like my perfectly real though. I would like to know as well!
