Hair problems - Beauty & Cosmetics Message Board

All righty. I have long, thick, straight blonde hair (sandy blonde-ish, I guess). I recently got a few long layers in my hair. I was scared to go too short with them, because I've seen some short layers on hair like mine that makes the hair style look choppy and nasty if it's not always curled or styled. I don't always have time to curl my hair - and I'm certainly not going to curl it to go play around with horses or for my 8 am lab. Therefore - I kept them long.

Having said that.. What kind of 'styles' would you suggests trying? I've been using a 1" curling iron and usually flipping the ends out, though sometimes under. It looks decent either way, but while the 1" gives a little more wave in my hair at the top, it's not much. What products would you suggest to add just a little wave, or a little more body?
.. This is one thing I've had to get used to.. in high school it was curlers when I needed it, not curling irons (because I had no time). Any suggestions would be GREAT. Thanks ahead of time!

Try a bigger barreled curling iron, like a two inch. I love mine....it gives such a different look than the smaller barrels. Another thing you could do is, if you have the guts, try a shorter hairstyle altogether. That might be a good idea since you dont have a lot of time for your high maintenance hair. The hot roller look isnt out though....having long, loose curls every once in a while is very pretty.
