Has anyone tried Big Sexy Hair Shampoo? Does anyone know where it is available in Canada?

I have used it and for me, it worked great but I couldn't continue use due to buildup (we have hard water). I have lots of hair but it's fine and I'm always looking for good volume shampoos. The best one to date and one that I've used for the past 5 years is Textureline Volume shampoo. It's all natural ingredients wash out easy and don't leave residue behind in my hair. The whole line is good IMO and not the most expensive out there.

As for where it's available, most upscale salons carry the bigger brands or just do a search online for them. I'm sure you'll come up with a ton of hits..... with varying prices.

Thanks so much! I live in the country, I'm not sure if it's hard water or soft water. But It's not great for my hair. I notice when I stay in the city and use city water my hair is 10 times softer. I'll look for Texturline thanks!

Hi, like the other poster, I have a lot of hair but it's fine in texture. I tried the "Big Sexy Hair" shampoo, and I must say I didn't like it. It made my hair too stiff and lackluster. I don't know if you color your hair or not, but it seemed to be too harsh for my highlights. Right now I kind of like the Back to Basics Kiwi-Melon Volumizing shampoo. It won't give you a ton of volume but if you use it with a light conditioner (I like the new Dove one in a can for fine hair; it's a foam-conditioner), it should do the job. Especially if you add some volumizing mousse or spray to the damp hair.

Back to Basics, I believe, is the same brand that makes Textureline... but not 100% sure. I like their line as well but had the same problem with it not washing out and building up after days of use. I have to wash my hair every single day so that was not an option. Of course, it's all dependent on your water. If I lived in town or had softer water, I'd use Catwalk or the Matrix volume line....

And to add to that stiff & lackluster comment, I have to agree that a lot of volumizing shampoos tend to do that to my hair as well.

I think the best partner to a volume shampoo is a good leave-in, repairing conditioner like Biolage Intensive or the one that Textureline makes. It's lightweight and keeps your ends in good condition. For shine and smoothness, I just started using BedHead After Party Smoothing Cream. That stuff smells awesome and doesn't give you the greasy, heavy feel (my hair is mid back and I only use half a dime size over the last half of my hair's length).
