Back to Basics, I believe, is the same brand that makes Textureline... but not 100% sure. I like their line as well but had the same problem with it not washing out and building up after days of use. I have to wash my hair every single day so that was not an option. Of course, it's all dependent on your water. If I lived in town or had softer water, I'd use Catwalk or the Matrix volume line....
And to add to that stiff & lackluster comment, I have to agree that a lot of volumizing shampoos tend to do that to my hair as well.
I think the best partner to a volume shampoo is a good leave-in, repairing conditioner like Biolage Intensive or the one that Textureline makes. It's lightweight and keeps your ends in good condition. For shine and smoothness, I just started using BedHead After Party Smoothing Cream. That stuff smells awesome and doesn't give you the greasy, heavy feel (my hair is mid back and I only use half a dime size over the last half of my hair's length).
