The summer is here and soon I will be using sandals ... so i was wondering what kind of colours do you think is better for the toes? I personally don't like red so what do you advice me?
I don't like bright colors on my toes - I don't liek my toes so I don't want to call attention to then..I use a sort of beige color...sand dollar by Maybelline, I think...
I am currently liking coral-y pinks and berry tones, but I use all kinds of colors & usually change it every week in the Summer. Last week they were turquoise with rhinestones, this week they are Revlon Wild Berries (that I've had for 15 years!). You can definitley have a little fun with your toenails! If you are more conservative you could go with a beigey/goldy/mocha color - goes with everything!
My toes depend on my mood: flirty/girlie, I like this shimmery candy pink color... summery/fun, I like orange (but only if I have a tan!!!) or bright Barbie pink ... everyday/sophisticated, I use this neutral shimmery color called Sand Dollar (can't really describe the color, kind of sandy pink), got lots of compliments on that one... Not too into blues and purples, but whatever floats your boat... I'm huge on classic red too, especially because it still looks good if you're pasty! Most of all, make sure your feet are groomed and moisturized!!!!
I bought a nice purple/grey/pastel colour at Zara (dunno if you have it there too) but i'm definantly going to buy some more soon.
Blue102 I'm sorry about my poor english but what do you mean by groomed? You mean taken care at a beautician?
I have never had my feet taken care like that before mainly because I don't really have any hard skin and because i'm a little scared hehehe I know it's silly but having someone else cutting my nails for me seems really creepy.
Do you ladies have any kind of tips on how I can keep my feet in order at home, something like 'home made recipes' on how to keep them soft, how to apply the nail polish properly, etc?
Thank you all so much for you help
Lili
PS: as you can notice im kinda starting to worry about these things and I find myself really clumbsy. specially when it comes to make up and nails and hair hehe So ladies bare with me and help me out

Oh, I just meant use lotion and a pumice stone to keep your feet smooth and nice. I know what you mean about going to someone for a pedicure. I wouldn't do it either.
Lilly, what is your skin tone?? Your eye color? Your hair? Are you a "warm" or "cool" color?
I don't believe in using the latest fashion in colors unless it happens to suit YOU. I wear what looks good on me, even if it's last year's clothes. Of course, I live in a small town where thrift shops and garage sales are the places to shop.
I have a "sandy" look when I'm tan, so IF I used toe polish, I'd use light, sheer pinks and peaches, and "nude" colors. Something classy and subtle.
I'm a brunnette (not really dark hair, more like a light brown) with brown/greenish eyes and kinda pale skin (the kind of skin that usually burns badly even with 30+ factor).
I usually wear dark colours, mainly black and dark blue, but i have a few red and more lively tops.
I agree with you, I wear what I like and what I think that suits me but ofc i can't help to be influenced by the trends, for example this summer all you see in shops is bright coloured swimming wear, so I bought one with baby blue pattern with darkers elements on it ... you see what I mean?

You might try getting a fake tan (I absolute DO NOT believe in suntanning) and some of the neutrals I mentioned. You could probably wear brighter colors in cool tones (not orange-y colors). I have to avoid colors that make my skin look yellow because it already is quite yellow. Since your skin is light, you might try some lighter colors in clothes - red, yellow, blue, green, violet, but they should be muted colors (more subtle), not really bright, and the reds shouldn't be orange-y. Orange is a color very few people can wear well.
Lately I've been wearing silver on my toes, since it goes with everything and I'm often too busy to change my nailpolish as much as I'd like to. Next to OPI, I really like Revlon nailpolishes, plus they are inexpensive. There is a shade of pink called Berry Delicious that is my ideal shade of pink, and one I think would be flattering on almost any skin tone. It goes on rather sheer, so you need at least 2 coats - it's such a fun color though, it reminds me of candy.
For fingernails, I prefer a soft sheer neutral or sheer shimmer rather than color, and I'm loving the "bridal" line from OPI.. my favorite is Bridal Sweet. My nails look so much better after a quick coat of this.
