I hate my thick dry frizzy curly hair.. i usea flat iron but i dono it just dosnt do the job.. anyone have any suggestions on good flat irons or and products to go straight.

I use Thermal Heat Setting Spray by Matrix (from salon) and my straightener has steam (I add water), Conair Straight Styles. Also, olive oil cream works great, too. I got it at Sally's Beauty Supply.

I have a Revlon straightener. Its has wider plates. I also have a straightener that has the little thin plates and I hate it. Anyway my Revlon iron seems to slide down my hair better also. The other one pulls at my hair at i am straightenting. I have wavy hair and I notice a big difference in how my hair straightens if I blow dry first (instead of air drying). When I blow dry I run my fingers through my hair so that it doesnt dry wavy. I dont know if Revlon has a few diferent irons but the one I have is white and the plates are gold. You can get it at Walmart for like 15$. Target has it too for about 20$. It also has a little dial on it so you can adjust the level of heat. Its great.

If you feel like splurging for a great straightner, the only way to go is Chi. I have one, and I'll never go back to any other straightener!!! It's a little over $100, but it is well worth it. Heats up in about a minute, and it effortlessly straightens even the worst kinks without breaking or tearing the hair shaft. Most high-end salons swear by the Chi, I am sure you can ask your stylist about it and she can fill you in on where to get one in your area.

I have tried several flat irons over the past three years and finally splurged on a Global Beauty Chi. It's the one my stylist at Gene Juarez uses and I'm thrilled with it. I purchased it on the internet for $113.
