my lips hurt because they're chappy

Does anyone know about any kind of lip treatment or some lip conditioner that can soften my lips. I can't brush my teeth or eat, or smile comfortably because my lips won't stretch. What can I possibly do to heal them and get rid of my chappy lips for ever.
thank you

Aquaphor is the best thing I've found for chapped lips. It's sold with the lotions, but is made for lips also. I use it at night and then use chapstick during the day. Hope this helps!

Petroleum jelly!!! I use it on my lips and around my eyes as a moisturizer at night. It's great! Also my aunt who is 65, only looks about 45, has always used petroleum jelly on her face at night to moisturize. Don't waste your money on expensive creams. Petroleum jelly is tried and tested,at least in my family. I am in my 30's and look in my 20's!! Yipee!

try using a lip misturiser like petroleum jelly or a chapstick.dont lick your lips though as this can cause them to become chapped.really hot or cold weather can also cause chapping.so if its really hot or cold outside make sure you put on some chapstick/lipsil before you go out and keep some with you to top up.

Re: my lips hurt because they're chappy

I have problem lips, and the BEST thing I've found is either Chapstick All-Natural or Blistex Pro Care. They don't have petroleum in them. I've had awful chapped lips most of my life, and I just recently found out that something about petroleum makes my lips chap up (even though I'm NOT allergic...if that makes any sense.) That's why regular Chapstick or Vaseline never did anything for me. Anyway, the two things I mentioned will work great for anybody, especially if petroleum is a problem for you.

SoftLips is a great product to soften your lips. It is a chapstick.

Vaseline Petroleum jelly is by far the best thing for chappy lips.
Chapstick is not good.
