Need Bronzer Advice

Seems like I hear it every where I turn. Everyone looks better with a bronzer. The one thing everyone should use is a bronzer. Jennifer Lopez would never have become J-Lo without her bronzer.

I am a winter I guess. I look best in cool colors. And know for a fact that no peachy, golden or brown shades belong on my face except perhaps my eyelids. So is there a bronzer for me?

I am very pale. I stay out of the sun because it agravates my rosacea. I also rarely wear blush in the daytime because the colors that look best on my look horrible in certain lighting, like when in the shade, in the car rearview mirror, etc. Any time I've ever had any kind of makeover, they put some kind of bright rose blush on me, which looks great, except when in the shade where it looks like it's sitting on top of my face. And not so great in flourescent lighting. But all other colors are always too pink, too purple, to orange, etc.

Also, I keep seeing this TV commercial for Vital Radiance. They always show a blush that looks very red, rosy red, but red. I bet that is the color for me. Anyone tried that?

No I have not tried that one. I use Elizabeth Arden and quite like it. Sometimes on day I want more of a tan I use Rimmell Sun Shimmer.

A couple thinks that may work for you is try Neutorgena Build a Tan actual self tanner. It really helps you contral the levels of your tan. Also Physicians Formula has a multi color bronzer with pink and blue hues in it. Maybe that will help.

Airbrush Tanning is pricey but fanatastic for a big event.

Hope that helps

I looked at the physicians Formula because it's on sale at Walgreens this week 40% off. But couldn't tell if any of the shades had pink or blue in them. I wish they would label the box. I don't particularly want to tan since I'd just have to find a new foundation.

Re: Need Bronzer Advice

Have you tried mixing colors? I have a golden colored loose bronzer, but alone it doesn't really go well on me, so I use a blush just over it, and it mixes and creates a good color. I like Benefit's blush.. Sangri La Shee's and the color is called I Lotused You Looking. It looks very purple, but it is sheer and doesn't come out like that at all. Do you have a Sephora near you? If so, definitely go and see for yourself! They have SOO much makeup out and you can try them all and find the right color. There are so many awesome products there!

Also, since you said you liked a red tint, have you tried a cheek tint? Benefit also makes one.. called Benetint and it comes out sheer red and it gives your face a nice glow. You can always try using this and then putting a little tiny bit of a bronzer over it. There are cheaper brands in Walmart, etc, but I forget who makes the cheek tints.
