| Bleaching my hair didn't go quite as planned..
I don't know if anyone recalls my recent topic here, inquiring about bleaching my hair, but I have an update, and I'm seeking a bit more advice.
I went through with the bleaching last night. I left the bleach and the plastic bag on my head for over an hour. My roots and a few random pieces of hair that had turned back to the natural color were the only parts that reacted to the bleach. The areas that still retained the color of the dye were completely unaffected by the bleach.
So now, I have bleached roots and light green everything else. I have absolutely no idea why the bleach did not remove the dye. The dye I used was semi-permenant, and I applied it about six weeks ago - before I bleached this time, the dye had faded from it's original shade of dark blue to a mint green. I assumed that the dye had worn out enough to be bleached out.
So, here's my new question...if bleach won't take dye out, what will? I was really hoping for light blonde hair, and I ended up with streaky green and yellow hair instead. I thought bleach could remove any hair color, natural or not. Any ideas as to why the bleach left the remaining dye untouched? What else can I do to take the green tint out?
I would sincerely appreciate absolutely any help at all in this matter.
