Decided to post this as a new topic after reading another post...I have gray eyes. Not gray-blue- steel gray. They're sorta tri-colored if that makes sense...very icy gray, almost white near the pupil, steel gray for actual iris color, and then very dark gray around the outer edge of the iris, with the same dark gray in streaks throughout...Browns do nothing for my eyes...violets and greens are horrible- I usually use gray liner and a lighter gray shadow...but I'm very bored with that. Any suggestions?

my eyes are quite similar to yours. steel grey and light grey and outlined in dark grey. the only difference is that mine have a very slight green tint to them, but its not noticeable unless you look real close.

i wear dark blue contacts so i dont match makeup to my grey eyes.

but one rule that i follow is to never wear makeup that is the same color as your eyes. wearing grey eyeliner and grey eyeshadow will only compete with the color of your eyes and your eye color wont stand out.

maybe you could try a black eyeliner and more neutral/beige eyeshadow colors. or try darker browns. dark eye makeup would really make light colored eyes stand out.

do you ever get people commenting on your eye color? when people see my natural eye color, they always stare and say things like "what unusual eyes!"

Yes...I had one man ask me if I had albinos in my family! He was a bit weird, but most people compliment them. I like them, just want to show them off more than I do. I'm hesitant to wear the darker shadow because I'm fair complected...I'm afraid it will look harsh.
