I need help with Maybelline product! - Beauty & Cosmetics Message Board

I bought "Shadow Effects" by Maybelline last week. Real pretty emerald green color. Its eyes shadow in pencil form...clear plastic. But I can't figure out how to get more eye shadow to come out now that I've used up the 'point'.

Oh, I don't know if I'm explaining this correctly LOL... Do I sharpen the plastic? I thought I'd just have to twist the bottom of the pencil to push the eyeshadow out, but I can't turn it. I don't think I have a sharpener thats wide enough... or strong enough to go thru plastic... and wouldn't it leave it with rough edges??

Does anyone have this product and can help me out? I feel like such a dummy!

I had something kind of like this (but a different brand) and got a large pencil sharpener. They should have them somewhere around in the makeup section.. I'm not sure if Maybelline has one but I'm sure one of the brands has it! It should be strong enough to get the plastic part shaved down too.

How do you like the Shadow Effects? Does it stay on well?
