I have never heard of makeup itself being the cause of wrinkles--however, I have read that process of taking it off can contribute to wrinkles as the skin around the eye is much more delicate than skin on the rest of the face. Therefore, it is more easily damaged from tugging and pulling that is associated with makeup removal. You might want to switch to a dry mineral makeup, like Bare Escentuals. Mineral makeup is more natural and less damaging to skin health. I have been wearing it for a couple of years, and the improvement in my skin is substantial.
