Hi, I have tried many methods to remove bikini line hair. I have shaved it all, used hair removal creams and I keep getting the red bumps so recently I decided to go and get a brazilian wax done. The hair started growing back in about two weeks and it got really itchy and I developed the same bumps as when I shave. I thought waxing was supposed to eliminate the annoying red bumps. Any ideas what is causing this or how I can get rid of these bumps? I don't want to keep spending money on waxing if I still get the bumps.

Hi,

I noticed from my experiances with waxing that you have to do it for a bit for the bumps to go away. I have been waxing for about a year and i noticed after the 3rd time the bumps went away.

ten (or tend) skin is THE ONLY product i found that worked for eliminating the red bumps. its not sold in canada anymore b/c there is aspirin in the solution and there is no ingrediant label on the product. however, you can still buy it in the states.

that being said....i hate waxing because of the ingrown gairs, the regrowth stage where you have to wait til its a certain length to have it treated (who would want to have a stubbly bikini area? for two weeks?) i have a olive skin and dark hair so it may be different for me...

my advice is to try electrolysis, it hurts but emla can be applied to numb the pain, to where you can't feel it. its expensive but PERMANENT, and no red bumps!

How much does something like that (electrolysis) cost? And after waxing does it always grow back in two weeks or does it start to grow back slower and slower? I just quit shaving and have been using an epilator on my legs but am looking for a different way for my bikini area because believe me once youve tried epilating your bikini area I dont think you will find anything more painful than that!

Electrolosis costs hundreds or over a thousand dollars! I wish it were cheaper.. then I would definitely go do it! I also find that the more I shave down there, the less I get irritation. I saw at Walmart they have some products like bikini zone meant to help with the irritation.. I haven't tried them but I've heard they are good. I also just bought some mini bikini razors also to try! Make sure the clothes you wear don't irritate it either.. sometimes the material of underwear can bother it and make it worse.
