Waterproof Mascara Remover! What kind???? - Beauty & Cosmetics Message Board

I have been using Maybelline Last Stylist waterproof mascara and I LOVE IT! I have to use waterproof or else I find that it rubs off onto my face around the eye area. The thing is..this stuff is impossible to remove at night! I have been using Maybelline Expert Eyes Moisturizing Remover for waterproof eye makeup (say that 10 times fast) and not only does it not remove it completely..but it is soo oily that it gets in my eye and irritates it..it actually leaves my vision blurry from all of the oil! Does anyone know of a good remover for waterproof mascara that isn't so oily??? Thanks - Catherine

I have tried expensive eye makeup remover, and it doesn't work well on waterproof mascara. I actually use baby oil, and it works like magic. I keep my eyes shut tight and rub a small amount into my lashes, then wipe it off. I then wash my face. I usually don't have problems getting baby oil in my eyes, but if I do, I rinse my eyes with some saline eye drops.

The Mary Kay remover is wonderful...I am trying to find a replacement though because I don't like having to run down a rep just to buy some

I have heard that the Neutrogena is much like it but I'll have to try. I used the Maybelline eye make remover too and it went right in the trash...I got it free attached to some mascara. It made my eyes burn and hurt. My eyes are very sensitive BTW and the MK doesn't bother them at all!!!!!! I cannot use Baby Oil either...burns...

Hi Ladies,
the best remover I have found and I have tried alot is Andrea Eye Q's. It's very inexpensive, does not dry your eyes out, does not make your vision blurry, and it the best for waterproof. It's quick and easy. Not greasy and I must say that it also makes your lashes easy to work with. I have noticed that it does not pull your lashes out and it moisturizes so well that they look longer and thicker as you start using the product.. I just love this product. I have found it at walgreens and at longs. For some reason, Riteaid does not carry it..

All I can say is that I don't recommend the Rimmel eye makeup remover. I like some of their makeup, but was disappointed with this one product. It was hard to get off my waterproof mascara, so I wouldn't buy it again. I have used Mary Kay and thought it was a lot better.. but those are the only 2 I have tried!
