I'm an african-american woman and I just gave birth almost 4months ago. From being pregnant I gained big ugly stretch marks on my hips and my breast. To add insult to injury, the stretch marks are black so they stand out a lot. How do I make the stretch marks lighter and less noticeable? Also, how do I make them smaller?

I use emu oil on my stretch marks and it has made a huge difference, you can buy it at health food stores. Emu oil penetrates all layers of the skin, studies have found that emu oil fades and even removes scars and stretch marks.

Can emu oil help old stretch marks as well? Also does it have an odor? I know that scar serums can smell awful and very thick too.

You might want to look into a good stretch mark cream like strivectin-sd, everderm, or a number of others available...they have helped some people. I would look for a company that has a good return policy so then you can try it for "free." (You pay for it, but can return it if you do not see results.) That way you only end up paying for it if it works for you.
