Young with bags under eyes - Please help... - Beauty & Cosmetics Message Board

Hello everyone =)

I just turned 18 , for the last 6months I developed bags under my eyes, I have no clue why, it's worst in the morning, but never completely fades.
I'm desperate, it's really bringing me down.
I have never had bags or any swelling around my eyes before, been to the doctor who believed it was allergy, gave me a lot of medications, which none of the worked.
Cold cocumber slices, creams , tea bags whatever does NOT work at all for me=(

Do I have to get surgery at 18 to get rid of this?

Ditch all the medications your doctor ordered and try Folic Acid supplements 400 mcg/day.
You can buy them (cheap priced) over the counter at any drug store or health store.

Often it's older people who develop bags or people who don't get enough sleep, also people who get too much sleep can get bags believe it or not.

Other causes are fluid retention, which can be due to anything from thyroid to kidney infection to eating too much salty food, especially at night.

Did you have allergies? seasonal allergies can do it and a lot of people are sensitive to dairy products also. In that case it could be any of these things or none of them as it could be a genetic condition. Does any other family member or relative have anything similar or get anything similar at an early age?

It can just be genetics. My Mother had them real bad her whole life and I got them too. I remember having them as young as KG just as dark circles. As years went on they got puffy.

AFH....what does the folic acid do in regards to bags under eyes?
