Background Info:

I am a 24 year-old female with dry, sensitive skin. I have a small birthmark around my nose and a few broken capillaries around my nose - seeing a dermatologist in December will help with that (laser treatment).

My skin is overall in good condition- have some minor sun damage around my nose - small reddish areas.

Since I am quite vain, I wanted to improve my skin tone and use Neova Retinol ME .30%. I realize that I may be tad young to use it (since it's primarily for aging skin). Also, the concentration may be a tad high for me (since I have sensitive skin).

Anyway, I used it about three days ago, and my skin is getting reader where the sun damage is, plus it’s peeling - nothing serious, just tiny flakes. At first I was worried, but then realized that may be part of the treatment and am planning on using it again maybe every three days. My skin is kind of peeling, but the new skin that's underneath the peeling is fabulous! So, as even as my skin tone was before, now it’s kind of uneven – barely noticeable – because my skin is being renewed while I still have my own skin at places. I have been using vitamin E and jojoba oil to calm down the skin and help the process.

Question: Am I on the right track or should I just discontinue the treatment? Am I right thinking that’s what’s supposed to happen?
