I've found lots of good wax recipes online before. Just Google it and you will probably find lots of results that are very similar.
I remember making it with sugar, honey, and lemon juice. Instead if cooking it on the stove, I found it a lot easier to just stick it in the microwave for maybe 30 seconds or so (can't remember, but a recipe should tell you how long to do it for)... than you have to stir, and heat it again for a certain amount of time.
To be honest, you can't always get it perfect, especially the first couple of times you make it. But eventually you'll get the hang of it.
It's pretty simple to use and effective if the measurements are correct. I can't remember how to make it anymore since I haven't done that in forever.
I still couldn't use it on legs though... it's wayyy too painful.
