Shea Butter

I was just researching information about cocoa butter... and I ended up reading a lot of good things about shea butter. According to some users' reviews, shea butter is better than cocoa butter.
It definitely seems to have a lot of benefits and seems like something my skin could use, especially now that it's getting cold out.

Is shea butter really that good at evening out skin tone and fading scars? Is it better than cocoa butter (which I'm currently using)?
Also, where can I buy it? I know they sell pure shea butter online, but I'm not interested in buying it online. I'm wondering if they sell it at stores like Walgreens or Walmart or any other drug store?
I'm talking about pure shea butter (that may or may not be enriched with vitamins), not lotions that contain shea butter in them.

Oh, and I was also wondering why Palmer's Cocoa Butter is so special? For some reason all recommendations I've read specifically point out Palmer's. Is it really all that different from any other cocoa butter? I currently use a cheap band I got at Walmart, which is also fortified with Aloe and Vitamin E, like most others. What is the difference?
Thanks!

Re: Shea Butter

You can buy shea butter balm at Bath and Body Works, it's made by True Blue Spa. I'm not positive that it's pure shea butter, but I think. [removed] whipped shea butter is supposed to be the best kind because it's got a very nice texture and absorbs into your skin better. [removed]

Re: Shea Butter

Thanks! I definitely need to visit that store more often. I kind of forget about it since I'm used to shopping for things at drugstores and whatnot.

I'm definitely going to get that one of these days since pure (or almost pure) shea butter is practically impossible to find at drugstores.
