I've never had it, because I've had my brows permanently shaped with laser hair removal (so glad I did that particular procedure), but my salon does it. They say you don't run the risk of burning, ripping or stretching the skin. They remove the stray hairs by wrapping them with thread (sorry never seen it done, but it involves multiple wrapping somehow, tangling the hairs into the threads). It's a very old techinque from somewhere, don't remember where, but it's been used for centuries. I know it takes some skill. It's very trendy right now.

I just recently got my eye brows threaded for the first time.

So far i am pleased..

The hair doesn't grow back as fast as waxing. Usually when i wax, the hair starts growing back after a week - week and a half. Since threading.. its been a week and a half and they still look clean and natural.

I guess it didn't hurt as much.

And i find the shape is natural (although that may depend on the person who did it)

So i would say go for it!

I couldnt tell you how they do it though

Threading is highly used in the middle east and I think was first utilized there.

I love the way my eyebrows look when threaded. I live in New Jersey and there are a few places that do it but I usually hop on the train to NYC and get it done.
