| Re: Help Me!: inflammation/blotchiness
It sounds like you might have entered 2nd or 3rd stage Rosacea. Do you get acne, that doesn't seem like normal acne? Do some of them become deep cystic blemishes? Do you flush and it lasts for hours sometimes? Dose your face feel warm when this happens? Do hot drinks, cold weather, hot days, the sun, alcohol or spicy foods trigger the inflammation? Or is it like that all the time? You really should see a doctor to be sure, but please don't use the conventional treatments like antibotics and metrogel, on it, as they often only make matters much worse. If you do indeed, have rocacea, I'd be happy to tell you what I've done to get mine under control and direct you to some excellent resources to help. The most important thing you need to know is there are better options then just covering it up. In fact, some things you use to cover it could be making it worse.
