Is it ever too early to start using anti ageing products? - Beauty & Cosmetics Message Board

Hi, I'm 20 and I have lines on my forehead. At the moment I'm using Olay complete but it makes my face oily ( I have oily skin) and there seems to be no difference in my skins complexion.

I would like to use a better wrinkle cream/moisturiser but I want to know if I start using it now, will it speed up my wrinkles even more?! :/

When's the best age to start using anti ageing creams?
Is there one that helps oil secretion?
Any help is appreciated. Thanks

This is a perfect time for you to start. Also, using anti aging products will not induce wrinkles.Most important, stay protected from the sun and use sunscreen every day.

It's never too early to start if you ask me. (well, except for babies or something, haha)

I'm 21 and I also used to get lines on my forehead and whatnot... but mainly when I wasn't drinking enough water, washing my face regularly, and mousiturizing... But as soon as I started doing all of that regularly, my skin looks sooooo much better, and the lines are gone.

I personally really like Olay Definity, but it's expensive so I don't buy it right now. I use jojoba oil instead (and sometimes Nivea). Both work great. Olive oil also works fine, if you don't mind using it on your face.

I don't have oily skin so I don't know which products work well for that. But according to the information I've read online about jojoba oil, it's supposed to help control oil production... so that may help.

There are products out there targeted for the 20's age group. They are mostly preventive to keep skin looking younger, but they definitely help with lines that may be there. I'm not sure of any good products.. right now I'm trying to find things that are affordable for myself to use. I really liked the Prevage cream but it is around $100 which is out of budget as a college student who only works part time and loves to shop!

should moisturizer only be used in winter?
i heard somewhere that for people with oily skin, that they don't need to apply any during the summer.

i feel that i would like a set of cleaner, toner and moisturizer from the same company. only that, i want an anti aging moisturizer and the cleanser and toner not. should the cleanser for oily skin be gel?

oh, and how do you use the jojoba oil?
just spread it on face? doesnt that make you oily? is jojoba butter better?
