| Re: Large pores and foundation
I have the exact same problem and it's really irritating. I usually apply foundation and then mineral powder on top of that, but that seems to dry out my face (matte finish) and makes my pores look even bigger (especially in certain lighting). I've been looking for ways to make my makeup look more fresh and dewy so the pores aren't so obvious, but so far I haven't found a makeup that works.
What does help make the pores less obvious is a primer. My skin has been really dry recently despite the fact that, like you, I exfoliate and apply moisturizer and everything. So I tried using a primer to even out the makeup and it worked.
There are a bunch of different makeup primers out there but they're really expensive. I don't wanna spend tons of money on makeup so I did research and found out that the Monistat Chafing Gel is pretty much the same as most makeup primers. I guess it has the same ingredients, and it's much cheaper. So I bought it and that's what I use. It works great and doesn't clog pores.
You basically apply a thin layer on your face after moisturizing. Than you apply foundation and whatever else you use on top of that. I kinda helps blend the makeup and also makes it last longer.
Hope this helps.
