| Re: Spray Tan In Salons
I haven't done it but I've had a few friends that have. (One friend that did it for months!)
At the place I go to it costs about $30, and I think that's how much it usually is. If you are a new customer, a lot of tanning salons have coupons, and some are for spray tans - like one free one, or buy one get one free - or maybe they'll have a package.
I have only heard of the Mystic Tan. It comes in three "levels" of darkness. If you don't want it to look to fake and you're extremely pale, then you'd go for the lightest obviously. They'll tell you everything at the salon.
You get a "shower cap" to go over your hair and some type of lotion to go on the palms of your hands (maybe elbows??) and I think they give you footie things for your feet. You should be given eye protection too.
Many salons can show you a video.
You stand forward for a few seconds then turn backward so that the mist can hit both sides of you.
It dries in a minute or two, but I think it can still get on your clothes, just like self-tanner, so don't wear anything too nice afterwards. (oh, you don't have to wear anything, but can wear a swim suit, during)
I'm pretty sure it lasts about a week, but I think it all depends on how often you shower, sweat, swim, etc
In my opinion it looks really good. It may also depend on your skin tone.
Hope that helped!
