What is the best OTC or homemade remedy for.... - Beauty & Cosmetics Message Board

fine lines around and under the eyes, dark circles, etc. and overall wrinkle prevention (other than sunscreen)? I see so many products and before spending a lot of money I want to make sure its going to be effective. I am in my 40s if that matters. I also have oily skin. Thanks!

Nancy~I am almost in my mid-30's and have hardly any lines around my eyes. I have been using plain old vaseline..petroleum jelly since around the age of 18 or so. My beautiful elderly aunt shared her secret with me when I was younger. She has beautiful skin and she is a smoker and a drinker! Very carefree and loves life! I am glad she shared with me! I have somewhat oily skin, so I just apply very heavily around my eyes before bed!

Do you rub it into the skin around your eyes? or just let it sit around your eyes?

Thanks for the advice! And, will it help at all if there are already some fine lines there? I live near Daytona and have spent way too many summers in the sun on the beach!

The best product that actually DOES work is perscription retna (ms) my mother is almost 60 years old and has been using that stuff for years, and she has no wrinkles what so ever. I am almost 30 and I am starting to use it also.
