Baking soda

I am 66, female, and want to try the Baking Soda as an facial exfoliator (a couple times a week or so). Will it hurt to use this. I do not have prob with blackheads, but do have patchy peeling areas on my face. Have tried everything.

Re: Baking soda

Baking soda works great as a facial cleanser/exfoliator. I use it occasionally (when I have some). It is not as rough as the other exfoliators with crystals/beads in them, and it works great. It also helps dry up blemishes. I really like using it and have never had any problems or weird reactions after using it (and I have sensitive skin).

Re: Baking soda

I have been using baking soda for 20 yrs. I love it and always get compliments on my skin. I work for a derm doc and all the patients ask what I use and I tell them and they are shocked. They use all this expensive meds and it does nothing for them.

Re: Baking soda

Oh that is so funny. I am glad it has helped you. I am 66, with some sun spots and dry patches on my face, and hate wearing makeup to cover it. It is next to impossible to put makeup on dry, flaking skin. Maybe this will finally be something that will work on that. Thanks for replying. btlover1942
