What do you use to wash makeup brushes? - Beauty & Cosmetics Message Board

Hi ladies!
Everytime I wash my brushes I use something different...baby shampoo,bar soap,body wash,dish detergent..lol! What's the best thing that gets them clean and not too stiff?

I use Clinique Brush Cleaner. You just spray the brush a few times, massage it in, then rinse under warm water until the water runs clear. I don't wash my brushes daily (more like once a week or when I remember), but I have not noticed any stiffness.

Liquid soap and water are all you need to use to clean them. I guess you could go out and buy a brush cleaner, but liquid soap is the cheapest and won't ruin them, in most cases at least if they are quality brushes. I have a couple of brown ones that I washed with liquid soap and water, and they are now orange... probably cuz they're pretty cheap. Thankfully I don't use powders anymore so I don't need brushes.

I use regular shampoo and rinse it with a lot of water until the water becomes clear. If I am in a good mood, I use conditioner on the brushes too!
