I have super oily skin, it is just disgusting. I also have acne scars and deep, large pores. I just got Bare Minerals for Christmas, I was hoping it would be better than liquid foundation, but so far I am not impressed. If anything it makes my skin look more oily and it seems my skin looks more uneven than when I was using liquid. Maybe I am not putting on enough or I am not applying it right. I use Clean and Clear oil blotters, but I literally have to use 3 to blot up all the oil each time. I would really like to not have to spend 5 bucks like every two weeks on these things. What products or methods could I use to combat the oil. Thanks!!

Hey, bare mineral gave me similar problem! It actually doesn't give me shine, but it makes my pore looks so large it is scary. I don't know what to do, so I just throw it in my drawer after using it only 3 times...

With oil shine, you should use mattifying lotion...

Thanks for the response! Yeah, I thought Bare Minerals was supposed to smooth out the skin. Quite frankly my skin looks better with heavy foundation. I mainly wanted to try Bare Minerals because I thought it would help with my oily skin. Since it doesn't I may just go back to liquid.

Where can I get mattifying lotion? What is a good brand?

Also, I find that if I wash my face at night, my skin gets worse...weird!

For me with oily skin, occasional breakouts and fine lines...in my mid-30's!! I tried the mineral powder and it makes me look older. So I will stick with liquid foundation...Infalible by L'oreal is great!

I have tried that and it made me soooo much oilier. I was using Maybelline Dream Matte Mousse. Literally this is the only foundation that helps in the slightest to make my skin not as oily.
