| Re: Best Flat Iron
I also just use the classic Chi. It's worked for me well and my hair is very healthy, even with highlights in it. I use the Chi heat protecting products before flat ironing as well. I suggest picking a ceramic iron. As long as you keep the iron moving and not sitting in one place for too long, it should be fine! Also, use a protecting product to help prevent heat damage. I flat iron my hair in sections to avoid going over one section too many times. In my experience, a hotter iron does better against damage because you can finish in less time. A less-hot iron will require you to go over the strands more times, thus, actually creating even more damage.
I haven't tried the Sedu before. I've tried a few other ceramic irons that I liked s well, just can't remember all the names. I just have stuck with the Chi because it works for me. I make sure to buy one with a warranty, because I once had a Chi that wasn't getting hot enough. Chi's are also not way too expensive compared to some brands. I usually can shop around and find good deals on them.
