Re: Possibly Milia
Milia come from under the skin, from sebaceous (oil) glands which get clogged....alot of it is hereditary, most of it is NOT from makeup . However, the one thing that will make a difference is keeping your pores cleaner then normal. Until you get them removed and start over, NOTHING will make them go away. Once removed, you can start over.
Use only non comedogenic foundation (something which wont clog your pores) and OIL FREE products. Make sure you are not using a heavy moisturizer on your face....keep that light, and also oil free. Dont tan or go outside in the sun, as the oil production will increase, and if you are outside, wear a hat to shade your face.
Look for products which are oil free, mositurizers which are oil free AND contain sunscreen. You can also use a retinol or something with glycolic acid in it at night, so that it promotes cell turnover and helps keep the pores clean. Talk to a facialist at a local salon....or better yet, see a dermatolgoist and see what they recommend. My products all come from private label and can only be found at my dermatologist office, however almost all of them sell products which are comparable. Good luck...dont pick!!
