How often to trim hair???

On Friday I said goodbye to 4 inches of hair because the hot weather in the UK was getting on my nerves. But now I deeply regret it. My hair is now just below my chin, a bit longer in the front than the back & has a bit of layering. Now I just want to grow it back again. So is it ok to avoid getting my hair trimmed for 6 months?

Absolutely.Hair really doesn't need to be trimmed often unless it is chemically treated and damaged. If your hair is healthy and you want to grow it out,it will be fine

It should be okay, just make sure you keep the ends conditioned. Also don't use heat appliances (flat iron, curling iron, etc.) on your hair TOO often because that'll promote split ends, and those things are bad bad bad . They'll keep 'traveling' up your hair.

Yes it is absolutely fine to skip haircuts. I'm a hairstylist and when my clients want their hair to grow, I tell them to skip. Like the other girls stated, as long as you keep your hair healthy by not abusing flat irons, curling irons and harsh chemicals then you will be fine.

Re: How often to trim hair???

Thanks for the replies. I do use a hair straighener & sometimes use the triple barrel waver. But I always use a heat protector spray. And I condition my hair every day. I made an appointment for 5 weeks from tomorrow just to have a tiny little trim so as the long hair grows out it will look nice until the other layers catch up. Just have to be patient!
