lipstick causes fever blisters

I have been wearing Clinique lipstick for the past several years. Same color. Anytime I try something different I either get a fever blister or my lips burn and tingle. I asked the dermatologist about this and he said I just had sensitive lips and stick with the Clinique. I like the shade I wear but I would love to have more than one to choose from. Have any of you ladies experienced this? And if you have, what do you use? Thanks.

Have you tried a different shade of Clinique lipstick?

Re: lipstick causes fever blisters

Yes I have tried many other shades in the same line. It must be an ingredient used in the shades that causes it. But if I have found one, there has to be others out there that I can wear.

Do your lips react the same way if you just don't wear ANY lipstick? I also have sensitive lips and break out in cold sores if they aren't constantly moisturized. Have you tried other mosturizing lip products?
