I have dyed my hair many times, and afterwards it always seems okay. I straighten and blow dry it almost everyday, so I realize that there must be a great deal of damage due to that as well, but about 2 weeks ago I bleached my black hair so that i could dye part of it red. Now, I have some intense split ends, as well as a lack of shine or volume. It does not grow anymore either.. I also don't have a ton of money to go spend at the salon for them to try and "fix" it.. Is there something I can do to help get my hair as healthy as it can be, so that it may grow again, without spending over $30?? Thank you!
I'm sure you could get a really good conditioner like something with keratin in it or argan oil from a beauty supply store and they could tell you what a good one is. Also get some Biotin vitamins, very good for the hair.Maybe someone knows the name of one.
Knox gelatin. you can find this in the canning aisle of your grocery store. 1 tsp a day mixed in whatever liquid you like. It will help your hair and nails grow stronger and quicker. I have to get a cut every 4 weeks. Each packet costs about 36 cents and will last a while
For the hair that is already damaged, I have 2 homeopathic recipies I use.
Helmons mayo- coat your hair and wrap your head in seran wrap and then a towel. leave on for at least 30 minutes 60 is better.
Cheap olive oil- not the kind you cook with, follow the steps above.
I would use it 2x a week until you feel like your hair is in a good space, then 1X a week.
Then wash and follow your normal procedures for styling.
