| Re: laser hair removal
Hello Springy.
I'm currently undergoing laser treatments for my facial hair. Next week I'll be getting my seventh treatment. I'm happy with the results I'm getting.
I think the first issue is whether you're an eligible candidate or not. Laser hair removal works best on dark hair and light skin. Laser hair removal doesn't work so well, if at all, on white, blond or red hair. I suggest getting a consultation before your first treatment so you can get a better idea of what to expect and how many treatments you may need.
Another issue is the pain factor. Depending on how sensitive your underarms are, expect the treatments to be painful but not unbearable. I would describe the pain level of laser hair removal as that of getting a tattoo.
This probably isn't so much of an issue now that the summer months are over, but you wouldn't be able to go tanning your underarms between treatments.
Expect to have to go to multiple treatments as hair grows in cycles. For me I go in for a treatment about every eight weeks.
If you can't get a referral from someone you trust, I suggest doing research on the place beforehand to ensure the staff are certified and are using the correct equipment.
