Recently my dad woke up & he felt that half of his face is almost paralyzed he went to the doctor they told him itís because of the changing in the weather they gave him some medicine ,eye drops & told him to go to physiotherapy.
I was wondering is it dangerous & does he has to do anything in advance?
Also does it have a name??
I donít think so he never had problems in his heart or brain his in good health no cloistral or diabetes or even purser, he takes care of his body.
He doesnít have any pain in his face itís just that his left eye got bigger than the other one & he cannot close it well & when he smile half of his face is smiling & his left face doesnít show any emotion.
Assuming that only his face is involved this is more likely Bell's palsy than a stroke. Bell's palsy is a result of an inflammation of the facial nerve and, fortunately, is usually self limited. Sometimes the doc will prescribe a steroid (like prednisone). Its important to use lubricating drops in the eye to keep the cornea from drying out. Check Bell's palsy on your computer should find plenty of info. Good Luck...
