Question Bell's Palsy and sore tongue

Hi, everyone.

I got hit with Bell's Palsy on the right side of my face two and a half weeks ago. Took high-dose prednisone for eight days and am showing signs of recovery. Right eye still doesn't blink fully and my smile's still lopsided, but the worst of the ear pain is clearing up.

One new thing that's shown up in the last few days is a weird pain on the LEFT side of my tongue (not the affected side). The right side of my tongue is still kinda numb like it was starting two or three days before the paralysis hit.

Is this common with Bell's? I don't understand where it's coming from. Anybody else have experience with a sore tongue with this palsy? Are my nerves just getting confused?

Any good info is appreciated!

Thanks in advance.
