BP related to swollen lymph node on the same side?

I got Bell's Palsy on my right side four months ago. It started with a sharp pain inside my ear canal and then progressed to half my face tingling. I rapidly lost all movement on that side. The usual story. However, I didn't get the movement back after 2-6 weeks as usually happens with most people. It is 4 months later and I only got back one muscle in my cheek, which I can use to pull a tiny smile. I'm not in the majority group of people who get better within 3 months.

I'm asking here because I have a swollen lymph node in my neck on the same side. I've had ultrasound on it and they don't think it's cancer, but I'm going in tomorrow for yet another doctor to look at it. It is located right next to the facial nerve that causes BP - there's no way that the two aren't related. What could it be? I live in China so the competence of the local doctors is certainly in question.

Just this week I started to get a bit of dry mouth on the same side. I have to swallow all the time to keep it lubricated. Salivary gland?
