Feeling neglected, no one responded

Okay out there 58 people have read my post about stealing yet no one has responded. Did I go overboard and reveal too much, or am I the only one? I'm having a rough time of it right now and I guess I just want to hear from people. My bed has been calling me constantly but I dragged myself to the basement to read for awhile and was disappointed to have received no responses. I hate this feeling that no one understands, ie...my friends, hubby etc...can't relate and I don't tell every tom, dick and harry. so it's just me, myself and my demons. Ta Ta for now

I just read my post and I sound like my 7 year old whiner. My original post was embarrasing things I do.

Hey honey bun,
I read your post. and funnily enough I have thought about it a lot.
Trouble is I just can't relate to it. Never stole anything, even when I was living rough (had a homeless friend who used to take "orders").
Perhaps your stealing for kicks is comparable to my shagging for kicks.

If you feel like whining where better to do it than here. I had to edit out a particularly spoiled-brat type posting just a couple of days ago. Not having a post answered DOES make you feel cross. In fact if you're anything like me you brood on it, sulk and get angry for hours ( even contemplate suicide if you're on a downer).
It's crazy. But remember, that's why it's called a MOOD disorder. We all react a bit OTT sometimes.

Hey, as I keep being told "don't be so hard on yourself".
Perhaps we could make it the BP board motto.....

I just read your post and gave it my two cence. I always try to post something on the messages that have zero replies. I know I hate it when I get no response. Makes me feel kind of un-welcomed here. It brings me back to my dreaded school years when I would be excluded from a circle of freinds, or ditched. I have noticed that the flipside happens with me as well. I feel very proud of my topics that have 15+ replies. Makes me feel like I really brought up a interesting topic for discussion, and I am always sad to see it slowly dissapear from first page. No one ever goes to the second page, do they? I agree that it is hard to post on a topic that you cannot relate to. A lot of people start topics about a particular drug, and I know nothing about it. So naturally I cannot reply. It especially hurts when you post a topic that is embarrassing, painful or emotoinal and no one replies. I can kind of sense that you fealt vulnerable posting that stuff and then fealt neglected, hurt and fealt no one understood you. It sucks, i know.

P.S. Cheer up your topic "Do You Have Jobs" got 17 replies.

I also try to respond when there are zero responses. I'm sorry I didn't respond to your last one. Please don't feel neglected, I read it and thought about responding and ended up not responding cause all I had to say was "I really can't relate, sorry!" The only thing I've ever stolen is a few uses of my sister's makeup.
Question to all: Is it better to respond with "I can't relate" than no response at all?
Kristina
