increase sex drive??? - Bipolar Disorder Message Board

this is sort of off topic but i have noticed occasionally that an advertisement for increasing ones sex drive pops up at the top of my forum page ...since hypersexuality is such a common symptom of bipolar, i found this funny...yes, lack of sexual desire is a common symptom in depression but should manic people who have the hypersexuality really be given any encouragement?? like dangling a carrot in front of a horse...( chanting "don't click, don't click")

I always afraid to click it, cause who knows what danger lurks around the corner...lol. Although when I'm depressed I could sure use something to peak my interest. I'm either a hussy in control or a maiden in distress. Go figure!

first off, let me start by saying i love this board and respect it's boundaries and purpose....but.......
a place dealing w/ mania punishing those who occasionally step over the line is, in my ever so humble opinion, borderline hypocritical...it's a symptom of the very disease we come for support with...but in their defense, we all did read the rules and terms and agreed to abide by them...
oh h*ll, once again i can't even form a concrete opinion, make a stand or find a conviction...so wishy washy...many levels of issues behing this annoying trait of mine...don't even know where to start....

HI there,
I am confused by PPP's response on this subject line. Did I say something inappropriate in my post. I just meant the meds either keep me completely uninterested in sexual play or when I am manic I'm the one doing the chasing. My husband can never figure me out. Sorry if I offended anyone, it was truely not my intention.
